As a Testing Engineer, you will be part of the Industrial Automation Division an d Measurement & Analytics Business Units （BU） based in Shanghai. ABB is the World leader in Industrial Automation （IA） division delivers integrated solutions for control, plant optimization, an d industry-specific application knowledge an d services to help process industry customers worldwide to meet their critical business needs in the areas of operational profitability, capital productivity, risk management an d global responsibility. These industries include oil an d gas, power, chemicals an d pharmaceuticals, pulp an d paper, metals, cement, minerals, marine an d turbocharging.
As a Testing Engineer is acＣountable for production calibration an d testing software development an d maintenance. He/she develops an d implements the required system to ensure that the products are tested to meet the metrological specification.

Your Tasks as a Testing Engineer will include the following:

1. Design/Ｕpdate the testing software as per requested by NPI project/special requirements from customer/engineering change/performance improvement needs, validate the software an d give training to the related users before it go live in production. Deliver the software on time.
2. Work together with software requirement originator on the specification an d get it documented, document code consistently throughout the development process by listing a description of the program, special remark, basic installation & operation instructions, any changes made an d training records.
3. Maintain the systems once they are up an d running.
4. Improve the system by optimizing the program structure an d code.
5. Stand out to support & solve the issues that comes up with the testing/calibration system, timely follow up an d feedback.
6. Coach operators an d related technical staff on the applied testing system.
7. Share an d give training to team with regard to communication protocol an d application.
8. Communicate with engineers an d manufacturer s technical support staff regarding programming needs an d performance.
9. Provide feedback to staff/operators about performance considerations / usability issues concerning software specifications an d implementation.
10. Communicate with staff an d address the improvement opportunities on factory information management system/platform.
11. The contact to Product Responsible Units （FF） to understand the product requirement.
12. Give support to other location for which this testing/calibration software for the products under the responsibility of the PMU.
1. Bachelor’s degree Ｏr above in Software Engineer/Electrical Engineer.
2. 2 years of experience working in a related Engineering environment.
3. Must have worked in any of the following departments:
a） Software development
b） Electrical an d Electronics
c） Measuring an d control technology
d） Design an d development
4. 2 years of experience as LabView developer.
5. Must have Project experience of VB Ｏr C#, SQL server, MS Access an d SCADA.
6. Must be familiar with Hart/Modbus communication protocol, PA/FF is preferable.
7. Good knowledge of PLC/DCS is preferable.
