Role an d Responsibilities
The Regional IoT an d embedded Business Development Manager is responsible for managing the regional business development within the region, as well as developing, coordinating an d driving enablement an d growth initiatives for Dell s IoT Gateways an d embedded PC s focused around edge solutions. This is a player-coach role, responsible for both managing resource activities an d delivering against specific metrics of his/her own. This role will work cross-functionally with the extended Dell sales organizations, including product management, marketing an d engineering to provide closed-loop engagement an d feedback with the field an d channel partners. The role will be acCountable for leading an d trailing indicators of progress against measurable metrics in the approved regional business development plan, as well as supporting broader global solutions initiatives in region as appropriate. This resource will develop an d drive the regional solutions business development plan, an d will be responsible for specific an d measurable deliverables in that plan. This role is the primary driver of solutions business development success in the region, an d as such will be highly visible in executive governance meetings.
Develops the regional IoT an d embedded Business Development plan an d identifies, prioritizes an d defines regional business development objectives
Evaluates regional market trends, field teams an d channel / SI partners to identify effective enablement an d business development opportunities associated with regional an d global plans
Coordinates activities with Workload an d Application specialist teams to ensure synergy an d optimize enablement an d plan execution
Works with regional marketing teams to develop collaterals an d campaigns as required for the approved business development plans.
Consolidates scorecards inputs from his/her regional team for reporting on progress against plan(s)
Identifies plan risks, dependencies an d issues for escalation an d resolution by regional Or global leadership
Capture lessons learned an d success highlights for sharing with the global business development leaders

Qualifications an d Preferred Skills
Technical undergraduate degree an d 12 years relevant experience Or Graduate degree an d 10 years relevant experience
Ideally, 8 years demonstrated success in IoT Or embedded solutions enablement an d / Or business development
Previous experience in a player / coach role managing a direct Or matrixed team
Previous experience selling IoT an d / Or embedded solutions to a highly technical customer base.
Strong project management skills, holding cross-functional teams acCountable for results
Strong solutions business acumen
Ability to travel regionally to Dell EMC field resources, channel / SI partners an d events as needed
Ability to prioritize solutions business development initiatives against regional solutions growth requirements.
Ability to work cross-functionally with product management, marketing an d field teams
Works effectively with sales an d functional leaders throughout the organization, as well as channel / SI partners
Excellent communication (verbal an d written) an d interpersonal skills
Solid understanding of Dell EMC IoT an d embedded solutions
Strong analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to develop business cases an d coordinate / execute business development plans.
