招聘人数:1 人 性别要求:不限性别 IMAX Corporation has an IMMEDIATE need for a Technical Services Specialist presently located in the China to support IMAX theatres in Great China region. The Technical Services Specialist provides 24/7 service, support, an d upgrades to IMAX digital projection an d audio equipment to ensure audiences are presented with the best possible IMAX experience. Working out of his/her home an d reporting to regional manager, the Technical Services Specialist travels extensively (approximately 75%) sometimes on very short notice domestically an d occasionally internationally. Candidates must have a passport for international travel to be considered.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform service an d preventative maintenance of IMAX digital projection an d audio equipment through on-site visits an d telephone support. Service work at the theatre is mainly carried out after normal business hours.Maintain 100% uptime of all IMAX theatres through preventative an d emergency servicingResponsible for handling an d maintaining multi-million dollar equipment in a critical show must go on environmentReduce the number of lost shows by quickly responding, analyzing an d correcting problems over the phone an d proactively during site visits.Plan an d schedule service visits to IMAX theatres which may include hardware an d software installationProvide written report to the customer at the time of the visitTrack parts exchanged an d ensure parts are returned from the client within the contractual obligations of warrantyPrepare periodic reporting on theatre roster.Dedication to concise an d timely reporting of service activities an d closure of the reporting cycleAttention to detail an d verification of information in the Technical Services theatre information databaseTimely administrative reporting.Train an d develop IMAX projectionists/operators.Be available for emergency service dispatches an d recover systems to normal operation as quickly as possible.Be available to travel worldwide, Or to change travel plans, on very short notice.Respond to all inbound client communications including alerts, emails an d phone calls within set timeframes.
REQUIREMENTS
Prefer four years (minimum two required) at a university, college, Or technical school Or significant job related experience an d specialized training in engineering/electronics with a strong computer backgroundA broad knowledge of audio systems, electronics/mechanical, Use of specialized test equipment (including but not limited to volt/ohmmeters, audio test equipment an d oscilloscopes) an d the ability to read an d understand electrical schematics.Experience in electronics Or computer repairs. Experienced in anti-static practices when handling an d installing electronic cards/boards/hard drives etc.Knowledge of projection optics alignment is useful.Working knowledge of AC an d DC power supplies, experience with working on low voltage, single phase an d 3 phase powered equipment.Excellent interpersonal skills, resourceful, diplomatic, an d customer service oriented individual.Background in technical service support with help desk experience Or PC service an d support experience and/or network experienceStrong verbal an d written communication skill in English in a clear an d concise manner is essential; knowledge of other languages is an assetComplex thinking an d problem solving skills are required to troubleshoot equipment failures quickly an d efficientlyThe ability to deal with customers, on the phone Or in person, who are confused Or upset, an d to troubleshoot their equipment problem under stressful circumstances.Experience with common software an d hardware including but not limited to MS Office Suite, Outlook an d Lotus NotesMS Windows/XP, Networking monitoring an d troubleshootingBasic knowledge of networking an d network communications (ie pinging devices, ip address configuration)Working knowledge of FTP protocols an d use an d telnet an d client software/utilitiesUnderstanding of Microsoft Windows registryAbility to carry out an effective maintenance routine an d order tasks while working within the confines of the customer’s scheduling needsAbility to deal with each customer’s unique questions an d give advice on operational matters
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to work holidays an d weekendsAbility to lift a minimum of 50 lbsAbility to work at heights
