Role Summary & Purpose:

As the capacity and Lean implementation champion, the Production Manager is responsible for coordinating and directing all aspects production across a variety of core manufacturing functions. The focus of efforts is on planning and implementing production tactics that provide the company with the lowest cost solutions for production of the products. Furthermore, company goals are combined with current capability and strategies to meet future needs are developed and implemented, Own the Quality, cost and delivery metrics result and to build a flexible manufacturing capability in Yangzhou Lear SMT plant.

Responsibilities:

Be a key player in the sizing process. Set YE up for the more aggressive, yet achievable, schedule possible.

Work with production supervisors and direct employees on a daily basis to improve quality levels.

Organizing, checking, approving and putting into effect of all production documents requested by Quality Management System. Drive to conclusion all action items to the Production Department.

Confirm and implement production plan to support 100% on-time delivery of both production and warranty demand.

Manage production floor with good 5S, visual management, discipline and orderly material movement flow.

Create a sense of ownership between Production Supervisors and manufacturing personnel for materials management. Minimize material scrap and good control material excess on the shop floor.

Work with the Engineering team to minimize changeover time at all operations.

Monitor internal production lead times and efficiencies improvement and production cost reduction at all operations. Multi-skill training.

Provide meaningful training, guidance and nurturing to the supervisory staff.

Ensure that all production area personnel are thoroughly trained and certified in their specific functions.

Maintain positive employee relations by encouraging direct and indirect employees to take advantage of suggestion box, participation in team meetings, and interactive communication.

Ensure that all production personnel adhere to all safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree or above in mechanical, electrical or process engineering

Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing company, especially 3 years production management experience in Automotive Industrial company.

Must have electronics experience.

Intensive experience (Minimum 3 years) in organizing and leading a modern lean production

Strong management abilities, excellent leadership, communication and coordination skills

Be familiar with ERP, 5S, ISO 9001, IATF16949, TPM and Lean Manufacture

Intensive knowledge of the entire production and products

Fluent in Mandarin and English (oral and written).

Familiar with ERP (QAD or SAP) is an advantage

Good Command of Computer skills
