We implement digital platforms an d digital solutions for our customers, our suppliers, an d our internal organization to optimize an d automate processes. We are mainly based in Belgium, with teams in US, India an d China. We are looking for a passionate an d committed Project Engineer to join our CT-IS team in China on temporary basis. This vacancy is for a one-year project, to assist in the IT roadmaps of our （CT） product companies in China. You will be involved in project activities an d application ownership related to Enterprise Resource Planning （ERP） an d Finance Applications. Due to the high level of complexity of the systems, this role requires solid analytical skills. You will have the opportunity to work in a highly-motivated team in a challenging environment. CT-IS China team is responsible for the lifecycle of the ERP an d related information systems within for our CT companies in China. We continuously strive for a close alignment with our internal business customer, being responsible for the development of new functionalities, the continuous improvement of existing applications, as well as the day-to-day IS/IT support. Job description/mission You take the lead in projects an d act as IS/IT application owner, providing third-line support and/or development expertise.You analyze business requirements, write up functional specs an d test programs.You guarantee an excellent quality of the ERP （BPCS）, which need to be in line with the business processes.During projects, you take the lead throughout the different project phases, from feasibility until final implementation. For such projects, you are responsible for the follow-up of the project against its stipulated goals, planning an d budget.You manage an d control the timely an d correct resolution of the system issues an d will appropriately take care of escalations from users. You will function as final escalation person in case of issues.You will assist where required with regards to the ERP architecture an d its interfaces. This means assessing the incoming requests an d help define a solution in line with our views on sustainable IT architecture. A profound knowledge on all business processes is required, as well as strong technical skills. Documenting all this should not be an issue.You will be responsible for second line support of the BPCS ERP system an d its add-on applications in product companies in China Educational an d experience requirements The candidate has a university degree, a bachelor’s degree in ICT Ｏr equivalent. You have a strong analytical mindset.An excellent knowledge of English is required.Knowledge of BPCSExperience with iSeries （AS/400） Operations.Strong knowledge of CL an d RPG （4）/ILE programming languages is a must; others are a plus.Other ERP knowledge an d experience is considered a plus.Understanding of an d experience with business systems including the ability to analyze an d assess existing business systems an d procedures. A track record of proactively identifying solutions to both technology as well as business issues.Understanding of an d experience with software application lifecycle management an d related processes.Understanding an d experience with software development processes including defining business requirements, functional specifications, testing procedures, implementation an d change management.Experience in different business processes of discrete manufacturing, Ｏr other business processes is an asset.Experience in working in an environment requiring cooperation an d negotiation with other business units Ｏr IS/IT organizations to attain goals.Experience with integration an d interfacing between business systems an d other applications.Project management certifications are an asset.
