Essential Responsibilities· Manages a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one Or multiple lines of business· Provides on-site leadership for the project team by building an d motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities an d project milestones· Owns full project life cycle; successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major Or several smaller initiatives simultaneously· Manages all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to an d directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives· Reports on project success criteria results, metrics, test an d deployment management activities· Provides status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks an d issues, communicating across leadership· Understands interdependencies between technology, operations an d business needs· Demonstrates a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices· Manages project scope an d changes· Assists in disputes, negotiations, arbitration Or litigation, as needed· Supports formal/informal schedules to manage the engagement contract· Develops an d manages all aspects of project an d program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budgets, changes, asks an d issues· Understands the WhiteWater Project Services key metrics: On Time, On Budget, Customer Satisfaction· Develops a well-rounded knowledge of products an d installation requirements· Monitors, tracks an d controls outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies an d critical path deliverables· Determines the frequency an d content of status reports from the project team, analyzes results an d troubleshoots problem areas· Defines success criteria an d disseminates them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle· Identifies an d develops trusted adviser relationship with project stakeholders· Establishes practices, templates, policies, tools an d partnerships to expand an d mature these capabilities for the Company· Contributes to culture of development/sustenance of Continuous Improvement an d Lean philosophies· Demonstrates respect for people through positive communication, consideration an d collaborative relationships· Works hard at being more present; to be open, be interested an d be curious.· Maintains an d follows best practices for operations including Customer Service, Quality, Lean Management an d Safety.· Executes responsibilities according to lawful an d ethical standards · Fosters a culture an d leads the development/sustenance of Continuous Improvement an d Lean philosophies· Maintains a healthy work environment by encouraging a team atmosphere working toward common goals an d objectives an d maintaining employee morale through ensuring company values an d initiatives are communicated consistency an d integrated throughout the organization.· Develops an d leads corporate initiatives an d goals, maintains best practices for operations including Customer Service, Quality, Lean Management an d Safety.· Supports, administers an d enforces company policies including, Corporate Purchasing Plan, Safety, Lean Initiatives an d Quality standards in a consistent an d fair manner ensuring best practices are followed· Works in collaboration with staff to achieve common goals an d objectivesQualifications & Experience· Education in Engineering, Or a combination of Technical an d Business Administration education an d experience; A MBA is an asset.· Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role with increasing responsibility· Prior project management experience and/or related experience with construction management, large construction projects, structural steel, Aquatic Centres, Adventure Parks Or Family Entertainment Centres is considered an asset· The ability to read structural, mechanical an d electrical drawings for general comprehension an d take-offs is essential· Excellent computer skills including MS Word an d Excel, SharePoint an d MS Project; CAD software skills is an asset· International/ cross-cultural experience and/or additional language proficiency is a highly asset· Must be legally eligible to work in ChinaSoft Skills· Strong leadership, diplomatic an d motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across an d down the organization· Proven ability to work creatively an d analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation an d excellence· Demonstrated ability to project an d maintain a professional corporate image to clients, vendors an d fellow employees· International/cross-cultural experience and/or additional language proficiency · Demonstrated cost-savings style when approaching an d working on projects· Ability to develop an d maintain effective internal an d external working relationships with all levels in the organization· Ability to encourage an d ensure adequate performance of external service providers· Ability to work independently an d as a team, self-starter an d energetic· Able to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced, fun an d professional environment· Advanced reasoning an d decision-making abilities· Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment an d collaborate across multiple areas to drive results an d achieve common business objectives· Strong interpersonal skills to influence an d spur change, facilitate an d enhance performance within a cross-functional environment· Curious with the desire to understand· Excellent time management, organization an d priority defining skills· Exceptional ability to listen, communicate (written an d oral) an d collaborate· Flexible individual with the ability to multi-task an d prioritize a changing workload · Hands-on, roll-up your sleeves, do whatever it takes to get the job done attitude· Motivate an d contribute to a positive an d results oriented team environment· Pro-active an d a keen learner
