PURPOSE OF FUNCTION
To build an d retain a long-lasting relationship with new an d existing customers in a multichannel retail environment by:
valuing an d fulfilling customer needs an d expectations, thereby stimulating more an d more frequent visits.
understanding customer motivation an d expectations, an d playing an active role in turning them into commercial opportunities.
ensuring a positive shopping experience that creates trust in the IKEA Brand before, during an d after their visit.
This shall happen by working in partnership with all business functions to contribute to commercial growth.
PURPOSE OF JOB
Navigate the unit towards growth, optimal performance an d sustained profitability, in line with the IKEA direction Growing IKEA together an d the Customer Support Centre objectives.
Be a pro-active, trustworthy business partner who takes a multidimensional view of the business, connecting the needs of customers an d the unit with a complete overview of the profit an d loss.
Support an d challenge the unit through business case thinking.
ASSIGNMENT
Protect an d secure the mid-term financial development in the unit by connecting the profit an d loss to the objectives of the IKEA Direction an d identified business opportunities in the market.
Contribute to the financial business planning process, ensuring that the financial plan is aligned with the BPL priorities in the unit.
Drive an d co-ordinate the financial follow-up an d forecasting process in the unit, in line with the global business navigation year cycle.
Support an d encourage managers within the unit to use business cases when identifying, evaluating an d acting on business opportunities. Together with stakeholders analyse an d evaluate benefits, costs an d investments, ensuring a good return on investment an d qualitative business cases.
Navigate towards more effective an d cost conscious ways of working, identifying growth an d cost potentials through benchmarking, striving for constant improvements an d closing of the performance gap.
Lead, develop an d secure the Business Navigation competence in the unit an d identify potential successors together with line managers.
Provide relevant, user-friendly business information, promoting standardised reporting an d securing competence in the organisation to allow for analysis an d understanding of performance an d for making optimised decisions.
Ensure that the rules an d guidelines from the IKEA Group Risk Manual an d Country legislation are implemented an d monitored in order to ensure that the unit is safeguarded.
Secure that the venue is regularly maintained an d that the unit have required an d quality facilities. Ensure investments when needed.
Support the unit an d especially Staff planning an d Operations with Business Navigation competence enabling them to make optimised decisions in their daily work.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE an d SKILLS
Previous management experience in a financial/commercial role with proven analytical an d numerical skills.
Understand the profit an d loss an d how to affect its result through actions.
Experience of setting an d implementing action plans, setting budgets, providing clear direction an d following up goals.
Ability to quickly develop knowledge of the local market an d business conditions an d take commercial decisions based on this information. Self-reliant an d motivated with proven ability to work as part of a larger team.
Experience of leading in a changing environment.
Open-minded an d actively seeks out new ways of working.
Ability to prioritise an d organise my work an d the work of others in order to make the most efficient use of time available.
Ability to communicate confidently an d clearly in English.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferable Finance/Math/Statistics Degree Or solid knowledge an d experience within the areas.
